Which division is yours?
Start with the number you would give yourself, then pick the division that matches it. This page is how to work that number out, what each division is, who belongs in it, what you will be asked to confirm, and the two things we would rather tell you now than have you find out on the day.
Work out your own number
There is no account to set up and nothing to send us. We ask for the number you would give yourself at a club, on the ordinary 2.0 to 5.0 pickleball scale — the one you would say out loud if somebody asked what you play at.
If you are not sure what yours is, read USA Pickleball's skill-level guide. It describes what each level looks like on court: what you can do with a serve, a return, a dink and a drop. Find the description that sounds like your game and use that number.
Round honestly rather than kindly. The number is only there to put you in a draw where your matches are worth playing.
Play up, never down
Your level is a floor, not a slot. Everything at your level and above is open to you — you can always play up, never down.
Playing up costs you nothing and takes nothing from anyone. Playing down takes somebody else's medal.
The divisions
Every division below, exactly as it is set for this season. The range in a division's name is the level it is for; the sentence at the end of each row is what picking that division means.

Entering more than one
How many divisions you can enter, and what each one after the first costs, is on the registration form before you pay.
We never ask your gender
Nothing on the registration form asks whether you are a man or a woman. The division names say who plays in them, and the sentence you tick says it about your team — once, in your own words.
If you pick the wrong one, nobody is thrown out
There is no protest process here and nobody is disqualified. We read the entries before the draw is made. If a division does not look like the right one for you, we message you first, and then move you across — before anything is drawn, so nobody's day is disrupted.
Nothing on the form stops you picking the wrong division. It is on you to be honest, and it is on us to fix it before anyone plays.
This is a community event. Being in the right division is about everyone having a good day, not about catching anyone out.
Still not sure?
Ask in the PPB Facebook group. That is where we answer, and it is where the venue, the schedule and the draw go up.
