The costume
Dress for the wrong sport
Come as an athlete from a different sport — hockey, basketball, soccer, golf, curling, skiing, F1, scuba, sumo. A straight-up Halloween costume is welcome too; the wrong-sport ones just get the loudest cheer.
Two things to plan around
- Bring indoor court shoes. Boots, cleats, fins and bare feet can't go on the floor — swap them at the side of the court and keep the rest of the outfit.
- Keep your eyes clear on court. Full masks and closed helmets are great for photos, off for play.
Nobody gets sent home over a costume. If something can't go on court, you play without that part of it.
